Chef Vanie previously headed Franschhoek’s first classic Indian-cuisine restaurant, Marigold. Anyone who's had the pleasure of dining at Marigold would have remembered Vanie’s wide selection of Northern India inspired cuisine – from rich curries to tender kebabs and traditional aromatic sides, Marigold truly was a colourful and flavourful addition to the wineland’s culinary scene. This gem was also acknowledged as a Platinum Class Winner at the 2018 Fine Dining SAWI Awards.
When Vanie isn’t gracing your UCOOK Along Instagram channel with her presence, she’s blazing the culinary scene in Tanzania as Head Chef of the Tanzanian-based Sabora Tented Camp.
Vanie visits South Africa often and spent much of the lock-down period in the country with her family.
